Mitsubishi ASX MPV Review

Mitsubishi ASX MPV, an awesome looking model, is also very deficient and well-equipped. Let us take a look at the complete package so as to make up our mind before considering Doncaster used mitsubishi.

Exterior and Interiors

Mitsubishi ASX MPV will give you a good impression at first glance. The proportions are just right and it looks both striking and elegant. The gaping grille as well as the swept-back headlamps gives the ASX a real presence. But the interiors of Mitsubishi ASX are on the weaker side, just because of the cheap material used. The controls too disappear at night as they are not illuminated.  The seats and cabin space are comfortable though.

Performance

There are two options of engines available, 1.8-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol in Mitsubishi ASX MPV. With the diesel engine, you get two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive but with the petrol, there is front-wheel drive only. You won’t find any automatic gearbox option in either engine.  Enjoy 115bhp and 114lb/ft of pulling power with the petrol engine and 147bhp and 221lb/ft. in the diesel. Those numbers are enough to offer you top speeds of 124mph and 113mph. The only disappointment is the need of refinement as the road and wind noise can travel to the cabin.

Running costs

When it comes to economics of the vehicle there’s little to decide between diesel and petrol. While the diesel unit manages 51.4mpg the petrol unit is set at 47.9mpg. As the petrol-engined ASX is less pricey compared to the diesel, most consumers go for petrol.

Dependability

Mitsubishi ASX MPV enjoys a top reputation when it comes to reliability. With similar models getting built by the company for decades, the model has proved to be dependable as well as tough. The critical areas like electronics where other modern cars are found to be lacking, Mitsubishis holds a strong ground.

Pros

  • Very economic
  • Standard paraphernalia
  • Great performance

Cons

  • Lacking refinement
  • Cheap interior
  • Small boot

Mitsubishi ASX MPV offers a comfortable ride. With accurate steering and precise gear change, there is no doubt that it is dynamically well competent. Offering strong performance and excellent economy. When it comes to practicality, it is good and bad in equal measure and what gives a nice touch is the split-level boot. What the customer will miss is a lot of space to make use of.

New Generation Porsche Boxter Coming To UK

The iconic Porsche Boxter has been revamped, and will arrive in the UK this spring!

As is usually the case with the Boxter, the only real competition for this new generation car will be the new 911, whos recent revamp has been met with widespread applause. The two have been locked in a mid-engined vs rear-engined battle for years, as they constantly ty to outdo one another.

The gap between the two cars has been narrowing hugely over recent years. Unfortunately, the same can not be said for the prices. With the 911 still being substantially mroe expensive than the Boxter, it’s becoming harder and harder to justify spending so much extra money for what is technically a very similar car.

The differences between the two only really seem to become apparent when you take to the track. Here, the 911 is in it’s element. It’s more powerful engine and better handeling have lead to it becoming the favoured of the 2 models among hard core petrol heads. The Boxters reputation as the “poor mans Porsche” however, seems a little unjustified. Many die hard 911 fans will say ‘yeah it’s cheaper, but ask yourself why’. Which seems like a fair point. But the Boxter is a fantastic car in it’s own right and has built up quite a fan base of its own over the years.

If you’re working to a budget then the Boxter seems to be the perfect choice. You can even get excellent quality used peugeot kings lynn, if you’re budget won’t quite stretch to the new prices, as the new model is expected to increase the asking price by at least £1000.

Could this revamp see an increase in production and sales of the Boxter? Well that remains to be seen. Currently selling a reported 10,000 Boxters a year, Porsche will certainly be hoping for a huge drive on orders to help them get back on track given recent events. For now however, the new generation model seems to be a much awaited addition to the UK.

Land Rover Releases Minor Upgraded for DC100 Concept

A lot of us have seen the images from late last year depicting the Land Rover Defender DC100 Concept as
well as the Land Rover DC100 Sport, one a three door hard top and the other a sleek and sexy convertible.

The newest images from the 2012 New Delhi Auto Show have only a couple of diference from the 2011 concept
models. They now both have a Firenze Red body with white roof and newly created 20″ Alloy Wheels with
cooper tyres.

Just as in the two previous incantations of the concept which were revealed last year, both of the new
designs still have the 2.0 litre engines and the DC100 has both the diesel and petrol versions which are
mated to an eight speed auto gearbox.

These new Land Rover Concepts also have Land Rover’s Terrain Response System with several more new and
advanced features such as the sonar sensors to measure the depth of water and a 3d navigation sysem
which identifies road hazards and can give you alternative routes. It will also alert you of any
hazards such as pedestrians or other road obstacles.

Pretty impressive for land rover yorkshire lovers out there. If you are on the lookout for a cheap land rover discovery or other vehicle, there are many options to look out for. Stay tuned for more information.

Ssangyong Try to Break Their Rut for Ugly Cars With the New Korando

Ssangyong have always been known for creating most of the most visually defunct  (or ugly) vehicles around.
This should change with the release of their new Korando Sports, which debuted as a concept during the Geneva Auto Show last year.

The KORANDO is a replacement for the Actyon Sports, one of the ugly cars we mentioned. The Korando is a four foor SUV style car with a rear truck bed, making a new sector called the LUV, or Leisure Utility Vehicle.

Although the Korando has a more acceptable look, it certainly won’t win any beauty contents, but it shows an improvement to the brand for Ssangyong.

Power comes from a 3.0 litre EXDi200 Diesel motor with 155 Horsepower and comes with a fuel efficiency of 36.7 MPG.

Ssangyong used cars was recently bought by Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd who say that the new diesel engine will meet the Euro5 regulations. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available to us.
